Urchins: Straight Pins, Styrofoam, glue
I made these by sticking SO MANY straight pins in a styrofoam wreath blank... it was a delecate dance, trying to get as many pins to stick in, before ruining the structural integrity of the styrofoam. At the time, way back when, I really enjoyed making sculpture out of everyday sort of materials. When assembled, these straight pins came alive!
The piece would move, and shift under it's own weight. Much like the way a sea urchin feels when it's little spikes gently move, and lift in your hand. The most satisfying thing that I've ever made, to hold in the hand, for sure. In the collection of the Nova Scotia Art Bank.

Pretty and playful little Sugar skull.
I like the Sugar Skulls and they're bitter sweetness, and enjoyed the challenge of representing a pretty floral pattern at such a small scale. This design is appropriate for both men and women. It is a simple bracelet, with this little detailed hand-carved and crafted silver charm. It fits really well, and it’s easy to wear, it has a great casual look too. There are two silver 'charm' size options available in both the bracelet and pin. Small: 2cm long x 1.5cm wide
Large: 2.5cm long x 2cm wide 💀 .

All of the things!
So exciting to have so much of my work represented in so many ways. I have no idea what 2021 will bring, but I do know that I will continue to make things.

This was one of the first things I made for myself, in a sculptural context, in beatuiful green wax, almost 20 years ago.
I built these teeny-tiny chairs by building up melted dots of wax, on top of melted dots of wax.

This design is several years old, and on offer in my shop. It is still enjoyed by it's wearers, and is one of my favourites too. A simple, elegant ring design, with coloured glass beads, that help you count to four!
